GIVEN THAT THE NUMBER OF BENEFICIARIES HAS BEEN REACHED, THE CALL OF INTEREST PROCESS IS NOW COMPLETED

Call of interest to submit an application in the framework of the implementation of the project "Social Inclusion, Youth Employment and Poverty Reduction - "Skills on Demand" - in Greek rendering "Social Inclusion, Youth Employment and Poverty Reduction - Personalized Skills", which is implemented in within the framework of the "Local Development and Poverty Reduction" program of the European Economic Area (EEA Grants), with the implementing body the Development & Tourism Promotion Company of the Municipality of Athens E.A.T.A. S.

The "Local Development and Poverty Reduction" program in Greece, amounting to 6.5 million euros, is financed by the European Economic Area (EEA Grants) 2014 - 2021. The program aspires to contribute to the strengthening of social cohesion and the reduction of financial and social inequalities. The Grant Administrator for the "Local development and poverty reduction" program in Greece is SOL Crowe in collaboration with HumanRights360 (more information: https://www.asylumandmigration-eeagrants.gr).

 OBJECTIVES – INTENDED RESULTS

The main objectives of the project are (a) the support of the reintegration of the beneficiaries into the labor market, (b) the structured recognition and coverage of the needs of the labor market at the local level and (c) the overall strengthening of the capacity of the Municipality of Athens in terms of empowering and supporting vulnerable social groups through employment, while its actions will aim to:

  • To recognize the needs of businesses in terms of jobs and in terms of the skills of staff operating locally.
  • To develop relevant training programs that meet the needs of businesses and offer them free of charge to the beneficiaries of the project through an online platform.
  • To provide personalized professional counseling and psychosocial support to beneficiaries / people belonging to vulnerable social groups.participating businesses.

 SERVICES BENEFICIARIES WILL RECEIVE

 As part of the program and in order to fulfill the objectives of the program, the beneficiaries will receive the following services FREE OF CHARGE.

  • Psychosocial support sessions,
  • Sessions with job counselors,
  • Training of a total duration of 120 hours,
  • Free Knowledge Certification.

CONDITIONS OF CANDIDACY SUBMISSION

Potential beneficiaries of the program are the adult (citizens or permanent) residents of the Municipality of Athens, who are:

  • either unemployed,
  • or beneficiaries of the Social Solidarity Allowance,
  • or vulnerable or disadvantaged people. Vulnerable/disadvantaged refers to: homeless, unemployed/long-term unemployed, people with disabilities (PWD), sufferers (severe medical problems, mental illnesses), released from prison, users and ex-users of addictive substances, HIV-positive, people from religious or cultural minorities, Roma / Gypsies, single-parent families, juvenile offenders, abused women, victims of trafficking, refugees, immigrants, returnees, victims of natural disasters and natural disasters (fire victims, earthquake victims, flood victims)

and wish to receive personalized program services in order to upgrade their skills and integrate them into the labor market.

PROOF OF RESIDENCE, UNEMPLOYMENT, DISADVANTAGE / DISADVANTAGE POSITION

RESIDENCE

The permanent residence within the Municipality of Athens is proven either through DEKO accounts (within six months from the publication of this), or through mobile or landline accounts, or through a tax return, or through a certified ID of the candidate, stating that he resides within of the limits of the Municipality of Athens.

UNEMPLOYMENT

As a proof document documenting the time and duration of unemployment is the unemployment card of the D.YP.A. (former OAED).

VULNERABLE / DISADVANTAGED POSITION

As an evidentiary document documenting the vulnerable/disadvantaged position, it can be indicative and not restrictive, either a certificate of receipt by the beneficiary of the Social Solidarity Allowance (KEA), or a certificate from the Disability Certification Center (KEPA) certifying the degree of disability, or proof of a single-parent family (tax return, Certificate of family status), or proof of long-term unemployment (unemployment card of more than 12 months), or proof of low income and below the poverty line (Tax return), or a deemed spouse of the candidate, who it will state the type of vulnerability / disadvantage it is in.

TIME, PLACE AND METHOD OF SUBMISSION OF CANDIDATES

The Invitation has been posted on the E.A.T.A. website. S.A. https://develop.thisisathens.org/el/sod and will remain posted until the available positions are filled.

Those interested may request in writing (by letter or e-mail to the e-mail address: application@developathens.gr) additional information or clarifications on the content of this invitation, by submitting questions to E.A.T.A. S.A. All the questions that may be submitted with the corresponding answers are posted on the above website of E.A.T.A. S.A. The interested parties may not refer to oral answers or clarifications. Interested parties should submit their application in electronic form (click here) or in paper form in a sealed envelope by registered post with acknowledgment of receipt or by courier service with return receipt requested or in person or through their authorized representatives, at the Protocol office of E.A.T.A. S.A., 7 Xenophontos Street, P.O. 105 57, Ground floor, hours 10:00 – 17:00.

 The file must include:

1. Application to participate in the program.

2. Photocopy of both sides of the police identity card or the relevant temporary certificate from the competent authority or the pages where the personal information is written in a passport or driver's license or individual health book.

3. Evidence of place of permanent residence, within the limits of the Municipality of Athens.

4. Evidence of unemployment or a person in a vulnerable / disadvantaged position.
